Many people with the Lyme disease begin seeking regular help. They are sent from one caregiver to another and all too often not taken seriously. From neurologists to psychologists, rehabilitation doctors to social workers. The result of this is that many people spend years looking for the right help, because in the Netherlands it is difficult to prove Lyme in the regular circuit.
Same here, Erwin. He thought he could get help at the hospital, but after four years of fighting, he realized that wasn't going to happen. He had seen and spoken to most of the neurologists.
