Lyme disease

Each year, approximately 1.5 million people contract a tick bite. Of these, 27,000 people develop Lyme disease, of which 1,000 to 1,500 people experience long-term symptoms. However, it is suspected that the number is much higher, as many do not know they are infected and believe they have a different ailment. (As of early 2023, these are the latest figures from the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment).

What is Lyme disease?

Lyme disease is caused by, among other things, the bacterium Borrelia. burgdorferi. Lyme disease can be contracted through the bite of an infected tick. The tick becomes infected with Borrelia when it feeds on small (rodent) animals or birds that carry the Borrelia bacterium. When a tick later feeds on humans, the Borrelia bacterium can be transmitted to the person. Approximately 1 in 5 ticks carries the bacterium.

Unfortunately, in our practice we are also seeing more and more people who are presumably infected with the Borrelia bacteria through a mosquito bite.

Symptoms of Lyme disease

The disease presentation of Lyme disease is not straightforward, not everyone experiences the same symptoms. This has to do with the co-infections present. In addition to Lyme disease, other diseases, co-infections of Lyme, are transmitted by ticks. Other viruses in your body can also be activated by the Borrelia bacterium. The most common co-infections are Babesia, Bartonella, Mycoplasma, Rickettsia, Ehrlichia, Epstein Barr, etc. In our practice, we see many patients with Lyme disease who have very varied symptoms:

  • A discoloration of the skin at the site of the tick bite that is growing larger. This can appear up to three months after a tick bite. The discoloration can have various forms. Examples of discolorations can be found at drawingradar.nl. We increasingly hear from patients with Lyme disease that they never had a skin discoloration.
  • Fever and possibly muscle and joint pain in the first few weeks after a tick bite.
  • Joint problems, skin conditions, nerve problems, or heart problems can sometimes arise. This can happen if Lyme disease is not treated immediately. However, these problems can also occur later in the course of the disease.
  • Brain fog, Concentration disorders
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Stomach problems an increase in food allergies
  • Osteoarthritis and rheumatism-like complaints
  • Alzheimer's or other neurological complaints

The course of the disease is very erratic. The symptoms can disappear and suddenly reappear years later, often in a more severe form. This can happen after a period in which immunity has weakened. Weakening of immunity can occur after longer periods of stress, after acquired trauma or shock, both physically and emotionally, or due to a disease process.

Lyme treatments

In the first phase of Lyme disease and borrelia infection, antibiotics usually work well and are sufficient. However, experience shows that if the infection occurred months or years ago, antibiotics no longer work and can even be harmful to the body. Patients often feel sicker. And there is a high chance that the borrelia bacterium will become more resistant and aggressive.

On your first visit, a device will be used to Hunter Metatron, a measurement mapped out what is going on. Which infections play a role.

In consultation with you, a treatment plan will be developed with Bioresonance and other therapies have been explored. After a period of time, measurements are taken again, using the Hunter Metatron and bioresonance, to assess the outcome of the treatments. Based on these measurements, “fine-tuning” will occur, as we observe the infection patterns shifting. These measurements will continue to be taken to monitor the course of the illness and recovery. In most cases, the illness can be successfully overcome after an intensive treatment trajectory.

Plan a appointment to discuss the possibilities for treatment.

The symptoms that someone develops with Lyme disease vary greatly from person to person and are largely determined by co-infections.

The course of Lyme disease is highly erratic. Therefore, measurements will be taken throughout the treatment process to continue monitoring the course of the disease and recovery. In most cases, the disease can be successfully overcome after an intensive treatment course.

Our diagnostic equipment indicates the energetic state of the body.

Based on the results, the therapies for your personal situation will be included in the treatment plan.
